Thomas May b: 11 Mar 1809 Prestonsburg, KY d: Aft. 1850   In the only record we have of Thomas, other than his date and place of birth, he was living with his father in the gold fields of California in December 1850. See 1850 census 2. John May b: 13 Apr 1810 Prestonsburg, KY. May genealogist Tress May Francis only knew the family tradition that "he went to Oregon." If this is accurate, he likely was in the company of his first cousins, the sons and daughters of John May, Jr. We have no other record of John. 3. Elizabeth (Betsey) May b: 20 Oct 1811 Prestonsburg, KY d: 1891 Missouri, buried in Hebron Cemetery in Platte Twp, Buchanan Co, MO.   Extensive genealogy work continues to be compiled by the descendants of Elizabeth and her husband, Ephriam Elliott Hill. See 1860 census record of his family and list of his children     Samuel was listed with his wife and family in the 1860 census of Bourbon Co, Kansas.           6. Sarah Minerva May b: 20 Mar 1818 Floyd Co., KY d: 29 May 1879 Vernon Co., WI, buried in Viroqua Cemetery.   See family photos.       7. Mahala Jane May b: 11 Nov 1819 Prestonsburg, KY d: 9 Jan 1901 Sylvan, WI, buried there in St. Peter's Cemetery.   See family photos.   8. Louvina May b: 19 Jan 1822   We have no record of Louvina after her marriage to Jacob McDonald on October 29, 1840.         9. Charlotte Temple May b: 22 Oct 1825 Floyd Co., KY d: 26 Feb 1904 Viroqua, WI where she is buried beside her husband in the Asbury Ridge (Methodist) Cemetery.   See family photos. 11. Lucretia Caroline May b: 18 Jan 1827 d: Abt. 1900 Tazewell, VA, buried in Maple Shade Cemetery. We have no photos of her family. She married George W. Mayo, a carpenter, in Floyd Co, KY on November 5, 1845. After 1850 they moved to New Market, MO and were living there in 1860. The famililes of her sisters, Elizabeth May Hill and Katherine May Kenard, also lived in New Market. Lucretia was for years Matron in Daughters College, Platte City, Missouri. She spent the last six or sever years of her life at Tazewell, VA in the home of Colonel Jack May, her brother, where she was much loved by Jack's family. She helped care for Jack's grandson , Samuel Davidson May, Jr., whose mother died when he was less than a year old.       12. Col. Andrew Jackson (Jack) May b: 28 Jan 1829 Prestonsburg, KY d: 3 May 1903 Tazewell, VA, buried there at Jeffersonville Cemetery.   See family photos. 13. George Washington May b: Abt. 1831   We have no other records of George. 14. Daniel Wesley May b: 22 Oct 1833 Prestonsburg, KY Our last record of Wesley lists him as a Lawyer in the 1860 census of Whitesburg, Letcher Co, KY. His wife, Martha Brashears, and young son, Robert H. May, were in the household.
