Directions along KY 80 West
about 7 miles from exit ramp off US 23

  • Drive on KY 80 West from Prestonsburg following signs to "Martin/Hazard"

    • Continue about 2 miles past the exits to Martin.
    •  Turn right at the Maytown-Langley exit onto Ky-777.
  • Turn left and cross the bridge that goes into Maytown.
  • Take a right on any of the streets and enter Johns Branch Rd.
  • Continue past Doc Allen Br. Rd. and take a left past the "Combs" house.
    • There's a trailer behind the house.
  • The road from this point is locally known as "the old gas well road."
    • Marked above in RED.
    • It is not maintained and requires a 4-wheel drive vehicle.
    • The distance from the house to the graves is about 1/2 to 3/4 mile.
