| May Family tradition says that back in Samuel May`s time, a ticket booth was located at this corner of the house. During the 1830s, horse races were held in the meadow below the May House every Saturday afternoon. Samuel May`s meadow is now the site of the Highlands Shopping Mall. The land now occupied by Prestonsburg Community College was once his wheat field and his corn field. |
