This photo shows the front doorway of the house. The rectangular sidelights are original and typical of the Federal style. The door is also original and still has its original lock and key. The key is six inches long. The foyer probably contained a pier table, a chair or two, and a grandfather`s clock. Fred James, Sr. of Prestonsburg has agreed to donate an antique grandfather clock to the May House. It will be placed on the north wall of the foyer.
