| This photo shows how the south facade of
the house looked in January, 1997. By then the troublesome bulge
in the south wall had been partially demolished, leaving an unsightly
hole. At this point in the restoration, the windows and eaves of the house were still unrestored. Much time and attention was devoted to this phase of the work. Most of the original windows were in good enough condition to be used again. |
