| This photo shows the southwest corner of the house as it looked in April, 1997. Most of the work has been completed, but part of the trim has not yet been painted. The house immediately south of the May House belongs to William H. May, one of the donors of the May House and a member in good standing of the Friends of the Samuel May House, Inc.William and his wife Lucille put up with a lot of inconvenience during the restoration period, and for this they have the undying gratitude of the Friends of the May House and the City of Prestonsburg. |
