This photo shows the front facade of the May House as it looked in April, 1997. The Bearcat Loader at the north corner of the house was Jack Kauble`s favorite toy. He used it for a wide variety of tasks. These included landscaping. Although the contract didn`t require it, Jack landscaped the land around the house, raising the level of the earth to cover the lower part of the foundation. The two-story part of the house sits on sandstone blocks. In other words, it doesn`t have a modern, poured-concrete foundation. For that reason, it was important to raise the ground level around the house. |
