Mounting the Drywall
This photo shows a portion of the north wall of the north parlor of the house. The wall has been `parged` and the drywall has been partially mounted. Neither the parging or the mounting of the two-by-fours were in the contract. Both the architect and the contractor assumed that the interior walls would be firm enough to mount the drywall against them. This turned out to be a mistaken assumption, so Kauble decided to parge the walls. The fact that Jack Kauble was willing to do this work despite the fact that it wasn`t in the contract testifies to his great integrity.
