| This photo shows Robert Perry, Lorita Pendleton, and Mr. and Mrs. Scott Higginbottom of Wichita, Kansas. Pendleton and the Higginbottoms made a special trip to Prestonsburg to see the house in the Summer of 1997. They also toured the May Cemetery. The two photos of the cemetery in our web gallery were taken by Mr. Higginbottom. Our Kansas friends are descended from John May, Jr., brother of Samuel May and son of John May and Sarah Phillips May. The group also visited the William Keathley Cemetery on Shelby Creek in Pike County, where John and Sarah May are buried. Scott was kind enough to give us a photo of their gravesite, too. |
