Minutes of the Board of Trustees
March 26, 2003

MEMBERSHIP MEETING

Those present: Don R. Johnson, Patricia A. Johnson, Jim Spencer, Sam D. Hatcher, John Rosenberg and Sabra Jacobs.
Minutes of the March 26, 2002 Annual Membership Meeting was presented. There being no additions or deletions, the Minutes will stand approved as presented.
The Treasurer's Report was presented. There being no additions or deletions, the Minutes will stand approved as presented.
Mr. Hatcher reported that he felt the May House had had a good year. There had been some 359 plus people who had toured the House. We had ordered some straight back chairs and Kevin had those and would deliver as soon as he could. He stated he felt we were lacking in the area of volunteers for the summer and that needed to be worked on. Also, there was a need for someone to catalog our files for us. And, we hope to be able to hire someone to do that this summer.
Following a discussion regarding various aspects of the House, Mr. Hatcher gave the report of the Nominating Committee. He stated that the Committee consisting of himself, Don R. Johnson and Jim Spencer had met and decided to recommend that the number of Trustees be changed to nineteen and that two of the present Trustees who had not been present for any meetings in two years be dropped from the Board with E. B. May being named an "emeritus" member. Mr. Rosenberg stated he felt that we could leave E. B. May an Honorary member as he had been named last year.
Following some discussion, Don R. Johnson made a motion that the number of Trustees be changed to nineteen (19); Mable Lineberger and Betsy Lambert be dropped; and, that E. B. May be left as an Honorary member. Jim Spencer seconded the motion. Motion carried. It was also decided that William May, a deceased member of the Board would be added to our next stationary as a member "deceased."
The election of Vice-President and Treasurer was to be done this year. The Nominating Committee had presented the names of Garnet Fairchild for Vice President and David Hereford for Treasurer. Mr. Rosenberg made a motion to elect them upon the condition that they would accept the positions. Don R. Johnson seconded the motion. Motion carried.

members were re-elected to the Board of Trustees as well: Lillian
Baldridge, Marshall Davidson, Alice Howard, Sabra Jacobs, Don
R. Johnson, Marrs Allen May, William L. May, Gary May, Robert
Perry, Jimmy Reed, John Rosenberg, Delmas Saunders, Jim Spencer,
Sam D. Hatcher, Garnett Fairchild, David Hereford, and Patricia
A. Johnson.
