Go to Main Page | What's New The January 8, 2003 issue of the Floyd County Times featured an article on the celebration of "Old Christmas" at the Samuel May House on Sunday, January 5th. The historic home was tastefully decorated for the holidays and visitors throughout the day were received by members of the "Friends of the Samuel May House." Dr. Robert Perry, curator of the home, was present for the event, much to the delight of old friends and visitors who have missed his frequent presence of late due to complications with a severe illness. Rebecca Haywood entertained the gathering with a selection of beautiful melodies from her harp, setting an "Old Christmas" tone throughout the home.
