| Taken in September, 1996, during the demolition of the ell, this photo shows the south side of the ell. The south wall has been demolished, exposing the dining room and the kitchen preparation room. In the dining room, the walnut wall cabinet has been detached from the wall, covered with a tarp, and placed a horizontal position on the dining room floor. As this photograph shows, the wall separating the dining room from the food preparation room is only two bricks thick. Note that the new foundation of the south wall of the ell is already in progress. |
