| Taken in September, 1996, this photo shows
the east wall of the main house. Part of the new wall has been
completed, but the floor beams of the second story of the house
are still exposed. All the floor beams of the second story of the house were saved. Cut from huge poplar trees in Samuel May`s `fine bottom,` these beams are at least two hundred years old. With any luck, they will last another two hundred years. |
