Grave of John May, Jr.

This photo shows the grave of John May, Jr., first son of John May and Sarah Phillips May. It was first published in a booklet about the May family by Homer Eiler in 1929. The grave stone reads: John May Died: Nov 22, 1849 Aged: 66 yrs, 6 mo, 24 days. This record would give a birth date of Apr 28, 1783. Other records give the year as 1781. John is buried in Middlesworth Cemetery.
