| This is a photograph of Anna Laura Auxier May, wife of Beverly Clark May, son of William James May and Cynthia Ann Powers May. Beverly and Anna were married in Prestonsburg on February 27, 1889. She was the daughter of Elijah B. Auxier. Beverly and Anna Laura raised five children: Margaret, Tress, Anna Laura, Charles, and William James. Beverly`s daughter Tress, who married Prestonsburg clothier Gordon Francis, wrote the first comprehensive genealogy of the May Family.
