December 26, 2000

Members Present: Garnett Fairchild, Sam Hatcher, William H. May, Robert Perry,
Jim Spencer. Also present Alice Howard.

The meeting was called to order at 7:15pm.

The minutes from the November 2000 having been submitted on the internet or mailed was approved as presented.

The Treasurer was absent, and a report had not been received. Sam Hatcher indicated that the balance should be about what it was at the previous meeting.

OLD BUSINESS;

Sam Hatcher indicated that it was his understanding that we are close to having the lease for the parking lot finalized. John Rosenberg had indicated that the attorney reviewing it for the May's had the questions that he had answered. It appears that all remains is to have the lease signed.

Kevin Hereford has sent some Wall paper samples for our review to select paper for the parlor (We had previously selected paper for the entry and one of the parlors.) A special meeting was called for January 20, 2001 at 2 PM to select the wall paper.

NEW BUSINESS:

Dr. Perry suggested that Jimmy Reed be asked to be a Trustee. It was decided to wait until March when we elect Trustees to determine whether to add additional Trustees.

Dr. Perry brought up the subject of insurance on the furnishings and exhibits. While it was pointed out that we are covered by the City of Prestonsburg, it was felt that we should check with the carrier to make sure the coverage is adequate. Dr. Perry to look into.

Dr. Perry indicated that he is considering a different color stone for the donor monument to be in greater harmony with the color of stones to be used for foundations.

Being no further business the meeting adjourned.
