of the Board of Trustees February 22, 2012 Time of meeting: 6:00 PM Trustees Present: Samuel D. Hatcher, William May, Gary May, Lillian Baldridge and James Spencer. Present by Proxy held by Samuel D. Hatcher: John Rosenburg, Sabra Jacobs, Tom Majestic and Garnett Fairchild. A quorum being present (5 Trustees) President Samuel D. Hatcher called the meeting to order. Minutes will be taken by the President in absence of the Secretary. President Hatcher reported upon several bequests by William G. Davidson, A descendant of John May and William James May. Mr. Davidson died in June of 2011 and left the Mayhouse two end tables and a cabinet, and several pictures. These have been received and placed on display. President Hatcher reported that he had just learned that Mr. Davidson had also named the Samuel May House as beneficiary of his Individual Retirement Account in the amount of approximately $2,940.00. Mr. Hatcher reports that the following resolution must be adopted to authorize him to sign the necessary beneficiary documents on behalf of the Friends of the Samuel May House, Inc. RESOLUTION: RESOLVED, the Trustees of the Friends of the Samuel May House, Inc., hereby, authorize Samuel D. Hatcher, President, to sign on behalf of the Friends of the Samuel May House, Inc. any and all beneficiary Distribution Forms required to receive the proceeds of the IRA account of William Davidson. Motion to accept the Resolution by Lillian Baldridge, Second by William May. Motion carried. A report was given about Old Christmas that was jointly sponsored with the Friends of Middle Creek. President Hatcher reported on the proposed program with BSCTC resulting in tours of visiting students and parents of the May House. He reported that two individuals have agreed to assist him in giving the tours. Discussion of some needed maintenance items. It was decided that the next meeting of the Trustees will be Sunday March 25, 2012 at 3:00 PM. This will also me our annual membership meeting. Meeting Adjourned.
