Minutes
of the Board of Trustees December 29, 2008 Those present: Dawn R. Stambaugh, Sam D. Hatcher, Don R. Johnson, Patricia A. Johnson, Lillian Baldridge, and Garnett Fairchild. Mr. Hatcher called the meeting to order at 7:00PM. He stated that the Minutes had been emailed and mailed to all Board Members. With no corrections, the Minutes will be approved as presented. In the absence of David Hereford, Mr. Hatcher stated that the balance is $3,003.10, only major expense was $377 to Dawn Stambaugh and her husband for decorating, cleaning, and buying decorations for Old Christmas. One addition to the report was a deposit of $270 for books and Ghost Hunters staying in the House for the night. He stated that if there were no further comments, the Treasurer's Report would stand with the correction as presented. Mr. Hatcher stated the main purpose of this meeting was to finalize plans for Old Christmas which would be held the following Sunday, January 4, 2009, from 2pm to 6pm. Patricia Johnson stated as far as she knew Miss Conley would be there with some of her students to help with entertainment. John David Preston has volunteered to portray Samuel May during the event. Don Johnson asked for a motion to set aside $100 - $150 for food. The motion was seconded by Dawn Stambaugh. Motion Carried. New Business Mr. Hatcher said he was approached by Randal Osborne, author of a War Between the States book, asked him if he could use a picture of the May House in his book. Lillian made the motion and it was seconded by Garnett. Motion passed. Lillian mentioned that she was contacted about the matching organ to the piano we have in the front parlor. Mr. Hatcher said that we would put it under advisement until the next meeting. Dawn asked about cleaning the House after Old Christmas. Sam made a motion and it was seconded by Lillian.
