portrait It is believed that Nancy joind her brother Kiah in Texas about 1876. He had moved to Wise Co., Texas about 1871. On June 22, 1876 Christina F. May (23) wrote from Viroqua, Wisconsin to her sister Nancy (27) in Texas. "Col. (Reuben) May was here yesterday, he comes over here real often but none of the rest of them has come here since you left hardly. Col. May and Sam Hornacre (Honaker, Emmeriah's brother) is going to send the money for Aunt Ema's mother. She is blind; they expect to send Bascome (Reuben's son Albert Bascom) after her. &ldots;Buna Randall has a girl. &ldots; Some about everyone is fixing for the celebration (July 4th) but I am not."
