After the family of John May, Jr.
migrated from Floyd County, KY in 1830, little was known in Kentucky
of his family. Two descendants, Homer Eiler and Audrey Lee Wagner
(Woodruff), compiled records of the family for many decades during
the Twentieth Century. The work of these two dedicated genealogists
is the source of most of the information we have on the early years
of this branch of the May family. Present-day descendants continue to
